Ukraine War: Vladimir Putin attempts to project strength after aborted uprising

Vladimir Putin spoke to troops and members of the security services today telling them they had prevented a "civil war". Just days after an aborted uprising by Wagner mercenaries, led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, Mr Putin attempted to turn the weekend events into a sign of Russian unity. Addressing personnel at the Kremlin, the Russian President said a crisis was averted because of their loyalty.
