Crab Spider (Thomisidae: Xysticus) Locomotion
The sometimes too ambitious photographer eventually tries the patience of this Zen-like arachnid, and the upshot is that we get to observe the defensive and locomotory behavior of this usually sedentary Thomisid spider. Photographed at Grand Forks, North Dakota (17 March 2010).
