Murder by Death is a 1976 black comedy film written and directed by Robert Moore. The film follows a group of famous fictional detectives who are invited to a dinner party by a mysterious host known as "Lionel Twain". During the dinner, Twain announces that he has arranged a game in which one of the detectives will have to solve a clueless murder. However, when one of the guests is actually murdered, the detectives must work together to discover who the culprit is. The film features an all-star cast including Peter Falk, Alec Guinness, James Coco, Elsa Lanchester and David Niven.
