A train carrying corn syrup derailed in western Arizona on March 15. The train was initially feared to be carrying hazardous materials, but the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway later confirmed that the train was carrying corn syrup. A second BNSF train derailed in Washington State on March 16.
