Ezzard Charles - Setting up the Knockout

https://fayzfitness.co.uk/blog for more tips and tricks of the greats. 46yrs ago today on 28th May 1975, Ezzard Charles - one of the sports greatest ever passed away aged 53 so I thought it was a good time to re-do one of my earliest videos I've been meaning to do. In this video we see Charles using the left hook but whether it was part of a combination or something he was leading with, Charles was not following up after the left hook (unless it was another left hook). This has the effect of switching the opponent off - in this case switching them off from the right hand and in round eight Charles leads with the left hook whilst stepping to the left, lining his opponent up for the surprise right hand which causes the knockout. *video should say leading the opponent to the right 40seconds in.
