5-Electro acoustic Improvisation AI Assisted-Magenta MusicVAE

This video is an extract of a research work about AI and improvisation. The application is built in Cycling '74 Max and is based on the Google Magenta library. The basic structure consists of a Node.js server developed in Max and communicating with Magenta directly or through the browser. In this video I'm improvising with a MusicVAE model included in Google Magenta and performing melody interpolation between two fragments sampled from acoustic instrument improvisation.
