Columbia-Greene Media - Schalmont 63, Ichabod Crane 14 VALATIE -- Unbeaten and state-ranked Schalmont proved to be too much for Ichabod Crane, handing the Riders a 63-14 setback in Friday's Class B Reinfurt Divison game. Quarterback Shane O'Dell passed for 188 yards and rushed for 94 more to lead the Sabres (3-0). Darrell Green finished with five touchdowns. Tobi Zucco had 51 yards rushing on 21 carries for the Riders. Marcus George added 25 yards on five carries. Austin Walsh completed 9 of 17 passes for 96 yards and to touchdowns. Haydon Broockmann had five catches for 68 yards and two TDs. Donovan Brown had four catches for 22 yards. Zucco and Colby Fisher both had eight tackles to pace the riders' defense. George had four tackles and an interception. Broockmann contributed four tackles and a sack. Schalmont led 16-8 after one quarter, but broke the game open in the second to take a 37-8 halftime advantage. The Sabres were up 56-8 after three quarters. "Very talented Schalmont team wwe went up against tonight," Ichabod Crane coach Tom Call said. "Our boys were excited for the challenge and showed tremendous effort throughout the game. We'll need to tackle better next week and continue to improve on offense, but we did some really good things against one of the top Class B schools in the state." Ichabod Crane (0-3) plays host to Cobleskill-Richmondville on Friday at 7 p.m.
