The gigantic pieces of fruit, one of which tipped the scales at a whopping 480kg, crushed fridges, store mannequins and even a hatchback car. Around 6,000 spectators turned out to watch the prize-winning produce being launched at the annual Utah Giant Pumpkin Drop, a Halloween harvest celebration. The main attraction was the 480kg pumpkin being dropped onto a secondhand Geo Metro. Dramatic footage shows the humongous fruit smashing through the roof of the car, leaving it totally wrecked. Kyle Fox, 39, who organized the Halloween harvest festival at Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove, Utah said: 'We'll smash anything and everything, from swimming pools, to cars, to refrigerators. It's pretty spectacular to see a giant pumpkin dropped from 175 feet.' Other highlights included pumpkins being dropped into a swimming pool, sending dozens of inflatable balls soaring through the air. Original Article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/artic...
