After escaping the island of Banoi in Dead Island, the survivors arrive at an aircraft carrier as a monsoon carries the zombie infection from the original island on board and the infection spreads once again. Sam B, Logan Carter, Xian Mei, and Purna, all playable protagonists from the first game, destroy the carrier.
