Russian salad, also known as Olivier salad, is a popular dish in Russian cuisine that has spread throughout the world One of my favorite things about Russian salad is its versatility. You can easily customize the recipe to suit your tastes by adding or removing ingredients. For example, if you like a sweeter salad, you can add some diced apples or cranberries to the mix. Or, if you prefer a meatier salad, you can add some diced ham or chicken. I have also found that Russian salad is a great dish to bring to potlucks or parties. It is easy to make in large quantities and can be prepared ahead of time, which makes it a convenient option for busy hosts or hostesses. Plus, since the salad can be served cold, it is perfect for outdoor events or hot summer days. So today I have decided to share my secret recipe of Russian salad (party size) with you guys. In this recipe, I am adding potatoes to make Russian Potato salad. This is a simple and easy recipe for beginners. INGREDIENTS( For authentic Russian salad/homemade fruit salad) 3 Carrots 4 potatoes 3 cucumber 1 cup of peas 1 cup of corn 1 red bell pepper lettuce parsley 1 cup of Raisin 1 big apple 1 pineapple INGREDIENTS( For Russian salad dressing) 1/2 cup of mayonnaise 1/4 cup of sour cream 1 teaspoon of white pepper 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon of salt PROCESS Scrape off the outer skin of the carrots and potatoes and boil them in the rice cooker with peas and corn. In the meanwhile cut the cucumbers, bell pepper, apple, and pineapple into a cube size. Once the vegetables are tender, take them out from the rice cooker and cut them into cube sizes too. RUSSIAN SALAD DRESSING Take a big bowl and add 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1/4 cup of cream, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt MIXING Now add all the fruit and vegetables into the homemade Russian salad dressing and mix them well. Sprinkle a few raisins on the top for decoration. Your homemade classic Russian salad is ready to serve. TIPS An important thing about Russian salad is to always serve it cold.
