Ever come across a Safety Triangle of accidents and incidents? This iconic symbol of workplace safety has a rich history dating back to the 1930s. ⚠️ But does this safety pyramid represent reality? In this video, we look at Heinrich's accident and incident safety pyramid, compare it to Bird’s Triangle, and what the safety community of today believes about its accuracy. 📝 At its core, the safety pyramid proposes that by addressing near misses and first aid incidents (located at the pyramid's base), we can mitigate fatalities and lost-time injuries (situated at the pyramid's apex).
