TotalChad% is a new category of playing Halo Wars that I created where I will be dominating and roflstomping through the missions as accurately and successfully as possible on Legendary which I believe is the official cannon difficulty for the Halo Wars games given how badly outmatched and uninformed humanity is at the time, I will attempt to have absolutely no casualties at all whenever possible while doing all possible objectives and playing as faithfully as Captain Cutter himself would have. These runs are not a completely original product but rather the combination of almost a dozen different walkthroughs and my own tactics, and while technically a walkthrough, are really more of an exhibition run, so you can definitely play in a lot faster and more "effective" ways. Furthermore there is an element of luck that plays into it and for some missions this will be quite a large point. This is in my mind how the events in Halo Wars truly happened. The Covies never knew what hit em. When I say no casualties it's important to explain that for Marines/ODST units, the individual Marines/ODST are not considered dead upon falling but rather incapacitated much like Romeo in Halo ODST or Linda pre Halo 5, finishing the mission with them incapacitated is them bleeding out while healing them before the mission ends means their injuries were treated and their in a stable/fighting condition, XCOM style. -----------------------------------------------------SPOILER-------------------------------------------------- ________________________________________________________________________ Part of this playthrough would legitimize the Spirit of Fire still having over half of it's original crew during Halo Wars 2 and being able to sustain it's campaign on the Ark. ________________________________________________________________________ -----------------------------------------------------SPOILER-------------------------------------------------- Really tough to get perfect on the account that Alpha squad gets rushed so early on, also the Swarms can be really relentless when they target a unit. Whether you can save Alpha Squad completely is up to chance but with that configuration you have a good chance, keep the Scorpions forward and drop lots of heals, don't make anything less then 5 Supply Pads unless you got plenty of leftovers after unit production. Definitely the 3rd hardest mission in the game, Scorpions is the best way to go since Hornets take a lot of damage from the Flood Launchers and Swarms and Swarms don't justify Wolverine use which is both overkill and not enough. Once Alpha Squad is destroyed(which happens very quickly) that Flood Den will continually send units to your base, depending on how the battle is going for the other 2 squads you can eventually get overwhelmed or run out of time especially since you need to push to reach the last 2 or even 3 Gremlin spots, otherwise you only have 22.17 minutes to finish. That last Reactor is important too, otherwise your forced to build another Reactor for tier 4, since you only have 1 base that would be crippling, you also only start off with 2 garrisonable units so if you lose any you'll need to build or rescue some, which isn't efficient.
