The Tabernacle and the Love of God Revealed in the Law Understanding The OT Pt13 by Pst Bitkon K

Understanding the Old Testament – Part 13 The Tabernacle and the Love of God Revealed in the Law In the Old Testament, access to God was connected to sacrifice. A person approached God through blood offered in the tabernacle. The tabernacle was not primarily a place for praise and worship as we often think today; it was a place where sacrifices were offered for atonement and fellowship with God. These sacrifices pointed to Jesus Christ. The true temple is Christ Himself, and through the sacrifice of His body, He made a way for us to have direct access to God. What the tabernacle and sacrifices foreshadowed, Christ fulfilled perfectly. Another important intention of the Law is to reveal the heart of God. The Law has a spiritual origin and gives us insight into God's nature. At its core, the Law is not merely about commands and regulations—it reveals God's love for humanity. In that sense, the Law can be seen as a love letter from God to man. The spirit behind the Law is not only righteousness but also love. In Christ, the Law finds its fullest expression: love for God and love for others. What was written in shadows and commands is perfectly revealed in the life, ministry, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
