Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson Official Welcoming Ceremony in Turkey. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said - I was pleased to host Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and his delegation in Ankara. In our discussions, we assessed our bilateral relations as well as Turkey-European Union relations and regional and global issues, in particular the Russia-Ukraine war. 🇹🇷🇸🇪 We want to develop our bilateral relations with our strategic partner Sweden, from trade to the defense industry, from mutual investments to tourism in every field. Our business reached 3.7 billion dollars in 2021. We aim to raise this number to $5 billion in the first place. Sweden's NATO membership application held an important place in our discussions. Turkey has always been a strong supporter of NATO's open-door policy. Based on the start of the negotiations between Sweden and Finland, we have approved this approach in Madrid. We understand the security concerns that push Sweden to end its 200-year-old policy of non-joining military alliances. Sweden wants NATO membership for its own security, and we want to see a Sweden that supports addressing our own security concerns. As emphasized in the Trilateral Declaration signed in Madrid, one of the main elements of NATO is full solidarity and cooperation in the fight against all forms and manifestations of terrorism. We are satisfied with the commitments of the new Swedish government to implement the Triple Muhtira. In today's consultations, I openly shared our expectations for the implementation of the provisions registered in the Üçlü Muhtıra with concrete steps. PKK-PYD-YPG, FETÖ, and DHKP-C terrorist organizations abusing Sweden's democratic environment must be prevented. It is our sincere wish that Sweden will become a NATO membership in the context of the complete implementation of the trilateral Mukhtira as a whole and the dimension of the alliance will be added to our centuries-old friendships. 🇹🇷🇸🇪 Video From: https://bit.ly/3UGUXnO #turkey #sweden #ulf_kristersson #swedish #swedishPrimeMinister_inTurkey #erdogan #erdoğan #viral #viralvideo #trend #trending
