Lecture 13 (2018) HD: Heat Transfer by Prof Josua Meyer

This lecture revises the previous lecture on laminar thermal analysis (constant heat flux and constant wall temperature) and conducts an example of oil flow underneath an icy lake. The turbulent equations for circular tubes such as the Dittus-Boelter and Gnielinski equations are also introduced. The lecture was presented on 18 April 2018. This lecture is Lecture 13 (2018) of approximately 4 – 5 lectures that was based on the textbook of Cengel and Ghajar (5th edition) and was presented as part of a heat transfer class to the fourth-year students by Prof Josua Meyer, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering of the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
