System Of A Down - Hypnotize (DualDisc Version) Unboxing As of 2022, Hypnotize is the latest studio album by System of a Down, who had entered a four-year hiatus in 2006, and the band did not release new music until 2020. The music style of the album is very similar to that of its predecessor Mezmerize, which can be explained by the fact that System of a Down wrote the songs for both albums at the same time. Also on Hypnotize lead singer and keyboardist Serj Tankian and guitarist and singer Daron Malakian share the vocals. Accents are set by fast blast beats and the use of double bass. New are the fancier keyboard melodies that complement the sound spectrum of the band in some songs. The album was released in two different versions: on a normal CD and on a DualDisc, which still has the creation of the double album, the videos B.Y.O.B. and Question from the Mezmerize album and the Enhanced Stereo version of the Hypnotize album. The graphic design again took over Vartan Malakian, father of guitarist Daron Malakian. The design ties in with the Mezmerize, also designed by Vartan, and forms a unity with it.
