Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is set to begin operations next week, bringing a major change for railway passengers. The train will not offer RAC or waiting list facilities, meaning passengers can travel only with fully confirmed tickets. Designed as a premium overnight service, its fares will be slightly higher than Rajdhani Express, with a minimum charge applicable for 400 kilometres. The train will operate on the Guwahati–Howrah route and is expected to save nearly three hours of travel time. With modern safety systems and enhanced comfort, the railway says the Vande Bharat Sleeper aims to set a new standard for long-distance night travel.
