Schools across China reopen as officials say Covid-19 is under control

All schools, from kindergarten to university, were allowed to reopen starting August 31, 2020. However, students in China’s western Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region have to begin the new school year online, as the region has seen a fresh outbreak of cases since mid-July. In Hong Kong, schools will resume face-to-face classes starting September 23.
