This Atmospheric Mystery Already Has Me Hooked! - WILL: Follow The Light EP1

WILL: Follow The Light is a narrative-driven first-person adventure focused on atmosphere, puzzles and exploration across the harsh northern seas. In this first impressions and Episode 1 of the playthrough, I jump into the full release after previously checking out the demo back in December. It’s very much a story-focused experience in the style of games like Still Wakes the Deep or Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, with strong voice acting and an intriguing mystery slowly unfolding. While there are moments where the lower budget shows through, the atmosphere and worldbuilding still pulled me in and I’m definitely curious to continue this journey in Episode 2. $24.99 for a 6-9 hour game may be a bit on the high side for some, even with a 20% launch discount for the first 2 weeks. However, technically, other than the odd stutter here and there when loading in a distant location, it ran really well at 4K very high settings, DLSS on quality and sat between 80-100 fps the entire time.
