In the beginning, Siouxie were movies, and songs were the soundtrack to those movies. Or maybe the songs themselves were movies, but let's start from the beginning. Marco is a film fanatic, he always has been; he didn't know who Siouxie was until he wrote a story about her without even knowing her. That's how they met, when she gave life as an actress to that character that seemed to fit her well in a panel: it turned out that she was perfect for The Glory Hole. Neither of them could have known it yet, but thanks to that film Siouxie & the Skunks would be born. Today that short film, still visible on Youtube, has also become a song and the editing has been adapted to close the circle and become a video clip of the same. Glory Hole is the song that closes their first album, released last year for Wild Honey Records and which is still surfing from place to place of the peninsula to overwhelm you in the most irreverent shows you can witness. If you want to peek through the hole, this summer could be your last chance, before the band closes the doors of the season to devote themselves to the work of the second album.
