Savoury bakes have gotta be a favourite of mine, and savoury bread has always been something I keep coming back to! • • • #food #foryou #viral #fyp #shorts #baking #cooking #recipes #homemade #bread #cheese #savoury #cooking #baker _________________________ ⭐️•Recipe Makes 8 Buns•⭐️ • • • 🥖•Bread Dough•🥖 ➡️ 1/3 Cup (83mL) Warm Milk ➡️ 1/4 Cup (63mL) Warm Water ➡️ 2 + 1/2 Tablespoons Sugar ➡️ 1 1/4 Teaspoons Dried Yeast ➡️ 2 2/3 Cups (320g) Flour ➡️ 1 Teaspoon Salt ➡️ 1 3/4 Teaspoons Dried Rosemary ➡️ 1 Egg ➡️ 3 Tablespoons (43g) Melted Butter ➡️ 3 Tablespoons (47g) Greek Yogurt 🧀•Additional Good Stuff•🧀 ➡️ Sliced Cheese (Of Choice) ➡️ Thinly Sliced Pepperoni ➡️ 6 Tablespoons Melted Garlic Butter • • • 1️⃣. Mix warm milk, warm water, yeast and 1/2 tablespoon sugar. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Then add in the flour and the egg. Mix until you have a shaggy dough then add in the melted butter, salt, rosemary, green yogurt, and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. 2️⃣. Knead for 7-9 minutes until smooth and elastic. It will start off a bit soft, but keep kneading and avoid adding extra flour. Allow to rise in an oiled bowl (covered) until doubled in size. About 60-90 minutes. 3️⃣. Punch down the dough then roll into a 1/4 inch thick rectangle. Cut out 1 inch wide strips then top each strip with sliced cheese and sliced pepperoni. Roll it up and make sure to pinch the ends to prevent them from splitting while baking. 4️⃣. Allow these to rise again for about 40 minutes (covered). Then brush with melted garlic butter and bake at 350 Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes. Best eaten when warm! _________________________ 🍽•Extra Tips & Advice•🍽 ➡️ In terms of cheese, my personal favourite is mozzarella, but any great melting cheese would be perfect for these. ➡️ I prefer using pepperoni sticks for this because I find that they are more flavourful than regular pepperoni. ➡️ You can find garlic butter at the store, but if you want to make your own just combine 6 tablespoons of butter, 1 large minced garlic clove, and about a few tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley. ➡️ If you want more flavourful buns, put the bread dough in the fridge overnight to do the initial rise, then shape them the next morning. ___________________________ If you would like to see more of my creations and recipes, check out my Instagram, Facebook and TikTok pages.
