Trout Unlimited - Animas River Restoration Project 2009
In the Summer of 2009, Trout Unlimited's Five Rivers Chapter in southwest Colorado partnered with the City of Durango and Animas Riverkeepers for a river bank stabilization project. The goal was to create better conditions for fish habitat in this Gold Medal section of the river. Western Stream Works from Ridgway, Colorado was the contractor. The project was partially funded by a Division of Wildlife "Fishing is Fun" grant.
