NMLLG = Natural Magic, Low Level Game NM: never learing any spells from Espers/Equipment AND never gaining any magic points at all. LLG: Finishing the game with all 14 characters at the lowest possible levels. in this video: defeating the optional Monster-in-a-Box enemy Pugs (also known as Tonberries) in the Yeti's Cave with Wind God Gau. the "Wind God Gau" term stands for an insanely powerfull setup including the Offering relic (also called Master's Scroll), the Merit Award relic, the Tempest sword and the Stray Cat Rage (uses Catscratch). this setup is totally broken in casual playthroughs. a high level Gau can easily do 4 x 9999 damage to all enemies on the screen in one single round because: Merit Award (Gau can equip the Tempest) Offering (attack x 4) Catscratch (damage x 4) Tempest (50% chance for using Wind Slash per attack) Windslash (unblockable Wind elemental attack to all enemies) Enemy with Wind weakness (damage x 2) the reason for the crazyness is the fact that the Catscratch damage bonus also counts for Wind Slash so each(!) Wind Slash almost always deals 9999 damage when used by a high level Gau. unfortunately, this is not the case with a level 14 Gau and since we already have access to Flare Star and Step Mine, using Wind God Gau in NMLLG is more or less just for fun. but even a low level Wind God Gau hits pretty hard with multiple Wind Slashes as you can see in this video and Pugs dont even have a Wind weakness. you can also use this setup for Gogo but Gau has better stats so Wind God Gau always does more damage than a Wind God Gogo. I didn't save after this fight because I didn't get any Minerva (also called Minerva Bustier and best female armor in the game) drops from the Pugs. my next video will therefore show the same battle again because I am planning to get at least 2 Minerva drops.
