Russia Moves S-300 Systems From Disputed Islands, Putin Desperate For Weapons Amid War With Ukraine?

Russia has moved two S-300 missile systems from a chain of disputed Far East islands that Japan claims as its own, Kyodo news agency reported on August 31. Citing satellite imagery, Kyodo wrote Moscow had moved two S-300 surface-to-air missile systems off the islands. The development was noticed by military expert Yu Koizumi of the University of Tokyo.
