The Uber Passenger to Nowhere (Manila, 2017) The crowded, humid streets of Manila at 3:00 AM. The Story: An Uber driver received a pick-up request from a woman outside a local hospital. She got in the back seat, wearing a white nurse's uniform. She was very quiet and smelled strongly of jasmine flowers. She gave him an address to a residential neighborhood. The Detail: When they arrived, the driver turned around to tell her the fare, but the back seat was empty. The door had never opened. Confused, he knocked on the door of the house. An elderly man answered. When the driver described the woman, the man began to cry. He showed the driver a photo—it was his daughter, a nurse who had died in a car accident on her way home from the hospital exactly ten years prior. The GPS on the driver’s phone still showed the "drop off" point inside the man’s living room. Thanks for Watching #TheShadow
