Amid the ongoing investigation by the Enforcement Directorate, arrested and sacked Bengal minister and his aide Arpita Mukherjee have separately claimed that they are a “victim of conspiracy.” The ED has found a real estate firm linked to Mukherjee’s residence, from where Rs 21 crore cash was seized on Wednesday, and four luxury cars that are reportedly missing. Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee were jointly questioned by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday. Arpita broke down before the ED when she saw the pictures of cash recovered from her apartment on TV and claimed she had no knowledge that so much cash was stashed in her house. She further said said Chatterjee’s men had access to the apartment and may have put them there. All the while Chatterjee, who was present in the same chamber, remained silent. #westbengalsscscam #tmc #sscrecruitmentscam #parthachatterjee #arpitamukherjee #enforcementdirectorate #englishnewslive #news18 n18oc_breaking-news n18oc_politics n18oc_india
