Andhra Pradesh: TDP leaders put under house arrest for calling statewide bandh

Several Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders have been put under house arrest as TDP called for a statewide bandh and leaders and workers took to the streets and held protests in different parts of Andhra Pradesh. The bandh called by TDP was in protest against the alleged attack on its offices in Visakhapatnam by the YSR Congress (YSRC) workers. The YSRC workers reportedly attacked the TDP offices at various places in the State yesterday in response to a TDP leader's derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
