Partygate: PM welcomes police investigation into alleged parties at Number 10

Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he welcomes a police investigation into parties reportedly held at Number 10 and government offices during COVID-19 lockdowns. Police are now investigating the allegations, including claims a birthday celebration was held for Mr Johnson in June 2020, when indoor mixing between people of different households was banned. The Prime Minister says he is willing to be interviewed - but does not believe he has broken the law.
