UN Security Council discusses new sanctions on N. Korea amid its 'unprecedented' missile launches

Members of the U.N. Security Council held a meeting Wednesday to discuss North Korea's missile threats and nuclear non-proliferation. North Korea has so far conducted 15 rounds of missile tests in 2022 alone. Speaking to Council members in New York, Assistant Secretary-General for Middle East, Asia and the Pacific, Khaled Khiari, said that DPRK has launched more missiles in the past five months than in the prior two years combined.
