India continues to send aid to the quake-ravaged Turkey as the 3rd batch of the NDRF team was dispatched on February 08. The assistance was sent on the Indian Airforce's C17 aircraft from the Hindon airport in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. NRDF teams including sniffer dogs and vehicle for rescue operations are being sent to Turkey. Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan was also present at the base along with Ambassador of Turkey to India Fırat Sunel. Muraleedharan expressed his grief over the disaster and briefed about the aid being sent by India. Calling India a good partner, Sunel dubbed ‘Operation Dost’ as an important one. Turkey and Syria were hit by a series of earthquakes on February 06 that has claimed more than 11000 lives.
