Protesters block Santa Ono from leaving presidential address at University of Michigan

UM President Santa Ono gave his Leadership Welcome speech Ov. 17 at the Ross Business School. On his way out, 100-plus protesters from the Graduate Employees’ Organization at UM prevented him from leaving in his car. Picketers finally let him through after a few minutes. The protest was over providing graduate students “a living wage.”
