Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Part 3: Tracking the Phone, Gaining Her Trust

Miles finds one of the time capsules he and Phin hid together. Then, Ganke calls to ask what the plan is. Miles says he is heading to Phin’s family repair shop in Midtown. He wants to understand why she is working with the Underground. Ganke suggests calling her, but Miles does not feel ready for that. At the shop, Miles sneaks in and discovers a hidden room with a computer. He finds two videos. The first shows that Nuform is making people sick, and Phin and her brother Rick were trying to stop its production. Phin had set up a recording to send to the Daily Bugle if something went wrong. The second video shows a devastated Phin explaining that the upload failed. The phone holding the video was damaged. Miles decides to track down Phin’s phone for more answers, but before he can leave, the Underground attacks. After defeating them, Miles returns to the computer and finds the phone’s last known location. As he leaves, the Prowler secretly watches him from above. Miles calls Ganke and explains everything. He tells him that Rick was Roxxon’s lead scientist on Nuform and that it made him sick. Phin and Rick had tried to shut it down. Phin’s phone holds a recording of what happened. Miles swings to the Roxxon lab to find it. Once there, he defeats enemies outside and absorbs power from a generator to disable the security shielding. Inside, Miles is surprised by the Prowler, who reveals himself to be Uncle Aaron. Davis tells him to leave, but when Miles insists on staying, Davis agrees to help. Aaron disables a laser barrier, and Miles continues through the lab. Above, Simon Krieger yells at a lab tech who cannot finish creating more Nuform without the missing canister. Miles takes down more enemies and accesses the reactor room. There, he finds the phone under a fan and charges it to view the final video. In the recording, Rick and Phin try to overload the reactor to destroy it. When a shield traps Rick, Krieger lets the energy kill him. Phin is too late to save her brother and escapes, accidentally dropping her phone. The footage explains everything. Determined to stop Roxxon, Miles tells Aaron to unlock the reactor. He absorbs all of its energy, destroying parts of the lab and unintentionally destroying Phin’s phone. Miles releases the energy and escapes. Outside, he and Aaron fight more enemies together. To escape, Aaron blasts a hole in the wall, and they ride away on top of a train. On the train, Aaron advises Miles to get close to Phin and pretend to join the Underground. Miles says she would see through it, but Aaron insists people make bad choices when they care about someone. He reveals that telling Jefferson the truth cost him his relationship with the family. Aaron leaves, and Miles jumps off the train as it surfaces. Miles considers calling Phin, but decides to check on the city first. Ganke calls, and asks about Phin’s phone, Miles explains that it got destroyed after he absorbed the reactor’s energy. Ganke is shocked, and Miles admits the explosion nearly killed him. Miles then explains Aaron’s idea to join the Underground to stop Phin. Ganke is hesitant, but Miles feels he has no other choice. After collecting tech from two Underground caches, Miles calls Phin. She is surprised but agrees to meet for coffee near Fisk Tower. At the café, Miles says he understands her and wants to help. Phin believes him and brings him to a rooftop where he must prove himself. She tells him the Underground once tried to rob her grandfather’s shop, but she made a deal with them. To be accepted, Miles must leap from a crane to a balcony at Fisk Tower. He makes the jump and is welcomed into the group. Phin leaves briefly, giving Miles a chance to explore. When she returns, Miles tells her that his mom needs him. He changes into his suit and defeats more Underground members. Ganke informs him that Fisk once had secret rooms hidden behind art. Miles finds a statue that leads to a hidden elevator. Inside, he sneaks into a secret room where he overhears Phin and the Underground discussing their plans. He uses camouflage to reach a map of their hideouts. A sword-wielding Underground member attacks, but Miles defeats them with a Venom-powered dash move. Afterward, he tells Ganke about the hideouts marked across the city. Ganke says they are using old Fisk construction sites. Miles asks about a theater, which Phin had mentioned. Ganke confirms it is the Gem Theater. Miles believes that is where Phin hid the Nuform. Ganke offers to help and also mentions someone else who can assist with the hideouts. Miles adds the hideouts to his list and prepares for the next step.
