Walking Water Experiment - Cool Fun Science Experiment

Ever wondered how plants get water? Hmm... Let's get started, you will need; 7 Transparent jars/cup Food coloring Water And Paper towel During this experiment, we will notice that Water travels (walk) up the paper towel by capillary action. "Capillary action" is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of, or even in opposition to, external forces like gravity. The adhesive forces between the water and the paper towels are stronger than the cohesive forces inside the water. As a result, the water travels up and across the paper towel out of one jar and into another. We bet you had fun discovering, exploring, and experimenting.
