Ford 3 Liter Taurus Vulcan cam sensor removal

Ford 3 Liter Taurus Vulcan cam sensor removal

For viewers with the lump 3 ltr Vulcan motor with the DIS ignition system with a faulty Cam Sensor that lives deep under the wiring harness over top of the engine and far enough under the intake manifold to be completely invisible when trying to troubleshoot the Diagnostic code or simply remove the sensor, which is actually an old distributor shaft without the cap and rotor assembly on top. You can do anything you want to these engines and you will still have a boat anchor Ford Vulcan engine with lackluster performance, and extreme reliability issues mainly due to cheap Ford component. These engines are difficult to work on, and in the end you will still be disappointed that somebody sucked you into buying a Ford Taurus. In my opinion these are poorly designed, heavy and under powered V-6 engines for their displacement. These are early Generation Ford Distributor-less Ignition Systems (DIS), considered old technology by today's standards, where Ford took a perfectly working engine and made it needlessly complex with a low quality DIS system that is highly unreliable and prone to breakdowns. If you are a 79 yr old lady, you may be able to baby one of these engines to 200,000km's, but that is highly unlikely for the average driver.
