Child Rights Body Writes To CM Yogi, Demands To Shut Unregistered Madrassas In Uttar Pradesh

The child rights body in Uttar Pradesh has written a letter to chief minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the unregistered Madrassas that are running in the state. This came after a survey which was held in a Madrassa in Lucknow, from where a video of two children went viral. Those two children were seen in bondage with iron chains and locks to them. A complaint has been filed stating that the Madrassas are exploiting their students. The child rights body has asked CM Yogi to register the Madrassa on govt portal and shut down those that are not registered. The UP govt has also said that it wants to modernize the state and its aim is not to completely shut Madrassas. Times Now - Times Now News channel examines news with in-depth analysis.
