Citrus! (1930)

United States of America. "The other day we sent a Cameraman to report on the orange position in the far West. He must have got his lens misplaced, however - " Extreme C/U of a woman's legs. She is standing on a hill, two women in swimsuits are visible below. Camera tilts up to show more of the woman and the fields of orange trees below. L/S of three girls in bathing suits climbing over a fence towards the orchards. They gingerly disappear down the hill. "The oranges here are lovely" intertitle precedes a birds eye view of a woman climbing up a ladder. Rather saucy as we get a great view of her bum and legs! She stands on one leg to reach out for the oranges. Panning shot from high angle shows lots of bathing beauties at the top of ladders picking oranges. M/S of some of the girls at work. Low angle shot of one of the girls - looking up the skirt of her swimsuit. She holds out an orange to the cameraman. "Our cameraman did his best, but the girls would keep getting in his way - " Travelling shot from the back of an open topped truck. In the foreground is a strategically placed woman's leg. High angle shot of a truck being driven through the orchard with girls sitting on the roof looking glamorous. C/U of the leg again, truck drives past a girl between two rows picking fruit. The truck then drives underneath the camera with the bathing belles sitting on top of crates of oranges and laughing. "Fruity!" exclaims the intertitle. C/U of pile of oranges. Suddenly a girl appears from amongst the oranges. She may be naked! We only see her arms and head as she smiles and rolls the oranges away from her face. Note: Fabulous! An absolute peach.
