Manipur Issue in Parliament: Opposition MPs of the INDIA alliance arrive in black dresses

Opposition MPs of the INDIA alliance wore black dresses to Parliament to protest against the government for not allowing a discussion on the Manipur crisis. They also brought a no-confidence motion against the Modi government. The opposition MPs carried placards of ‘INDIA for Manipur’ and raised slogans demanding the PM’s presence in the House as they entered in Lok Sabha. Due to the sloganeering, Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm after the opposition MPs protested. The crisis in Manipur has been going on for several weeks and has been marked by violence between two ethnic groups.
