Rewards (On Defeat): Will, 2 × Yaoguai Core, Refined Iron Sand 🐉 Lore & Post-Boss Unlocks Defeating Chen Loong doesn’t just kill a boss — after talking to him, he becomes a friendly NPC. Helping him in his side-quest (after the fight) unlocks the secret hub Zodiac Village, unlocks crafting, farming & NPC services (!). According to lore, Chen Loong is tied to ancient dragon and zodiac mythology, aligning him with the “Dragon” of the zodiac. ⚔️ Fight Mechanics & Strategy Attack Type Description / What to Watch For Lightning-based Abilities Chen Loong uses mostly electric attacks (lightning claws, beams, area strikes). Prepare for high shock damage. Summoned Lightning Patterns Some attacks leave lingering lightning zones or random lightning bolts — keep mobile, dodge carefully. Tail Swipes & Melee Strikes Mixed physical + elemental attacks — watch tail & claw animations and dodge at the last moment. Arena Awareness The fight takes place in a spacious area near the lake shore, giving you room to dodge lightning AoEs. Recommended Strategy: Equip gear or items that reduce shock damage (if available). Use spells or spirit abilities (immobilize, ranged spells) to keep distance when he uses heavy lightning attacks. Stay mobile — avoid standing still since many attacks have lingering lightning or follow-up patterns.
