मंदी की आशंका से भारत में भी कई टेक स्टार्टअप कर्मचारियों को नौकरी से निकाल रहे हैं. ताजा मामला फूड एग्रिगेटर जोमैटो का है. जोमैटो ने शनिवार को कहा है कि वह अपने 3 फीसद कर्मचारियों को नौकरी से हटाएगी. देशभर में जोमैटो के लगभग 3800 कर्मचारी हैं. शुक्रवार को ही जोमैटों के सह संस्थापक मोहित गुप्ता ने कंपनी छोड़ दी थी और उसी के बाद कंपनी की तरफ से कर्मचारियों की छंटनी को लेकर बयान जारी किया गया. इस बीच रिजर्व बैंक गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने भी वैश्विक मंदी को लेकर आगाह किया है. RBI गवर्नर ने कहा है कि दुनियाभर में जिस तरह से ब्याज की दरें बढ़ रही हैं उसकी वजह से आर्थिक मंदी के गहराने का खतरा बढ़ गया है. Zomato has said on Saturday that it will lay off 3 percent of its employees. Zomato has around 3800 employees across the country. On Friday itself, Mohit Gupta, the co-founder of Zomato, left the company and after that a statement was issued by the company regarding the retrenchment of employees. Meanwhile, Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das has also warned about the global recession.
