Baking Basics Episode One :: Making Pie Dough

It’s the beginning of a new series! This series will be all about baking. We’ve already done a video about making cinnamon rolls, and the link to that video can be found below. I’ll also put it in the same playlist as these new videos so it is easier to find. In this video today we’re learning to make pie dough. Although it seems simple, there is a lot of room for error. We go into the what, the why, how much, and even some troubleshooting and frequently asked questions about making pie dough. My mom, Sara, has been baking since she was a kid. She learned from her dad and has been teaching me everything she knows. We both wanted to make videos about baking because it’s a way for us to preserve her teaching and her storytelling as well as a way for us to share with you! Our next videos in this series will be about making several different pies. We have plans to do pumpkin, pecan, and apple. Any other requests are welcome! Those will be coming in a few weeks.
