The kind of love that transforms both others and ourselves. 📖 “Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) Today’s readings show us sacrificial love in action. Saint Paul praises the churches of Macedonia for their generosity even in affliction. Psalm 116 lifts up the God who heals, restores, and brings justice. In the Gospel, Christ offers the hardest teaching of all — to love those who have wounded us. 🙏 Saint Botulph, who built sanctuaries in dark, abandoned places, reminds us that peace begins in prayer — even when surrounded by trial and desolation.
