Today, on my birthday, I embarked on a journey from Sapporo to Otaru to immerse myself in the enchanting atmosphere of The Otaru Snow Light Path Festival. ✨❄️ As I wandered through the illuminated streets adorned with mesmerizing snow sculptures and charming lanterns, I couldn't help but be captivated by the magical ambiance of the festival. The festival's highlights include the famous Snow Path along the Otaru Canal, where the soft glow of the lanterns reflected on the glistening snow creates a breathtaking sight. ❄️🏮 However, amidst the beauty and joy surrounding me, I couldn't escape a sense of sadness. Being alone on my birthday took a toll on my spirits. Though I had anticipated this when planning the trip, the emotions hit harder than expected. It was in these moments that I found solace in talking to the camera, expressing my heartfelt feelings. (I chose to omit the saddest part from the video.) Surprisingly, opening up and acknowledging my emotions brought a wave of relief, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the wonders of Otaru. The festival became a joyful celebration, and I cherished every moment. ❄️🎉 To make my birthday even more special, I had the pleasure of meeting up with my dear friend Lea back in Sapporo. Her infectious energy and laughter filled the evening, creating beautiful memories and reminding me of the importance of cherished companionship.
