(PS5 PRO) THE LAST BRIDGE 1944 | Realistic ULTRA Graphics Gameplay [4K 60FPS HDR] Call Of Duty Pierson's gone to a dark place. I can feel myself gettin' dragged down with'im. But I gotta stay sharp if I'm gonna make you proud, brother. After the Battle of the Bulge, the 1st Infantry Division are escorting the German soldiers that had surrendered to them. One of the prisoners ask for water and just as Zussman was about to hand over his canteen to him, Pierson storms up and gets hostile at Zussman for showing compassion to the German prisoner. Daniels tries to stop Pierson, who starts to now argue with Daniels. The prisoner takes the opportunity to hit Pierson with Zussman's canteen and tries to escape before getting caught by Daniels. A piece of paper was found from searching the prisoner's cloths and was given to Zussman to translate it from German to English, which revealed that the Germans are planning to destroy the last bridge to the Rhine in Remagen. In the nighttime, the squad prepares an ambush to a German convoy that will be arriving soon. After the convoy arrives, the squad detonate the trees to block the road and neutralize the German troops before taking one of their trucks for a plan to use it to assault the German airbase and detonate their explosives. Later, Daniels and Zussman are dropped off near the airbase to quietly infiltrate the airbase and reach a high vantage point to provide overwatch for the assault. After reaching a vantage point, Daniels and Zussman wait Pierson and the squad to begin their assault and once it starts, the two provide overwatch as Pierson reaches and destroys a truck filled with explosives. Daniels and Zussman leave their vantage point and head towards a tower provide more support for the squad. Once they clear the tower, Daniels uses a mount MG42 to provide fire support in the airbase. More German reinforcements arrives and while Pierson's squad falls back, a German tank exits the tarmac and fires at the tower where Daniels and Zussman are at as the two fall down to the ground and are knocked out. They reawake with the German soldiers surrounding them while they look and capture any American troops to take away as prisoner. Zussman was loaded in the truck and as Pierson's squad kill some soldiers, the truck leaves with Zussman still onboard as Daniels grabs the St. Michael pendent that Zussman drop on the ground. Daniels heads to Pierson's jeep, but Pierson stops him and orders him to finish the mission. Daniels breaks free from Pierson and uses his jeep to try and rescue Zussman. As Daniels keeps up with the truck, a German kubelwagen hits Daniels' jeep and both vehicles flip and crash. After killing a surviving German soldier from the kubelwagen, Daniels, now wounded from the crash, tries to save Zussman, but the Germans manage to get their truck moving and leave before Daniels passes out from his wounds. Soon, Pierson arrives and told Daniels he disobeyed a direct order. Daniels defiantly told Pierson to punish him with a court martial, but Pierson suggest that he should "finish the job" as desertion is a capital offense. Just as Pierson prepares to execute Daniels, Stiles and Aiello arrives as he told Daniels he's no longer in the 1st Platoon before walking away while Stiles and Aiello help Daniels up. Twelve hours later in Bad Orb, Germany, Zussman and the POWs were taken to a processing camp as Metz, a German commander, tries to find the Jews from the American POWs while Zussman gets rid of his dog tags. While Metz tries to ask the POWs who the Jews are and execute them if they won't cooperate, Zussman calls out Metz and after telling him that the POWs are all Americans, Metz beats him up and orders all POWs in the train to take them for "work". Eight weeks later in a field hospital, Davis walks in a tent to Daniels, who was recovering from his wounds, as he told him that they still haven't found Zussman. Daniels told him that Pierson didn't care about Zussman like his men back at Kasserine Pass, but Davis told Daniels that he got it all wrong as he reveals that back in the Battle of the Kasserine Pass, Pierson was ordered to fall back, but he refused and stayed because he didn't want to leave behind some of his men trapped in the pass. However, Pierson ended up losing more men for trying to save them. Daniels ask if he'll receive a court martial, which Davis confirms he will for his war efforts and the intelligence found from the German prisoner.
