Cleveland weather forecast: Light showers for last Friday of 2022

3News' Hollie Strano says that the weather will remain warm as we round out 2022. Friday is a mild day with highs in the low to mid 50s in the Cleveland weather forecast. 3News' Hollie Strano says Friday is a good day to run errands as the rain chances are very spotty and light. As we head into tonight and the start of Saturday, more rain is on the way. Strano says that New Year's Eve has a higher chance of rain. Today started out warm across Northeast Ohio as downtown Cleveland had temperatures reaching 61 at 5 a.m., which is well above the average for this time of year. Friday's high is 58 degrees, which falls close to the record high of 63, set in 1875. For those with New Year's Eve plans, we'll still have some rain around. Temps will settle back into the 40s around midnight on their way into the 30s if you're staying up late into the early morning hours Sunday. Next week features another stronger storm system that will bring a surge of spring to the area Tuesday with a chance of rain and perhaps a few rumbles! Colder air gradually moves in thereafter, but nothing barbaric by any means with 30s expected to end next week with some scattered snow chances.
