Brake Lights Stay On Nissan Acura Honda PENNY FIX

This 2000 Nissan Xterra had a common problem with the brake lights staying on. I normally see this one old Hondas and acuras where the bushing in the brake lever that interacts with the brake light switch disintegrates. I also see this bushing fail in the clutch pedal causing a no-start condition as the car doesn't detect clutch pedal depression and interrupts the starting circuit. The penny worked for me this time but I have also been known to use thicker items depending in the car. Sometimes no matter what you use, a brake pedal switch will require adjustment.
