Chicken puff pastries, a snack typically served with a hot cup of tea. My go to side dish for tea parties. Yes you can air fry them and yes you can freeze them as well. Ingredients Puffs pastry sheets Chicken shredded 2 cups Olive oil 2 tbsp Onion 1 , chopped Capsicum green and red and yellow 1 cups Garlic powder 1/2 tsp Onion powder 1 tsp Paprika powder 2 tsp or adjust Pepper powder 1/2 tsp or adjust Salt to taste Tomato paste 2 tbsp Heavy cream 1/2 cup or adjust Cream cheese 4 oz softened Preparation 1. First we need to make the chicken filling. In a saucepan over medium heat add olive oil, add chopped onion and little salt. Cook until onion becomes soft. 2. Add 1 cup of chopped different color capsicums. Let it cook for 2 min 3. Add 2 tbsp tomato paste and mix it well. 4. Add all seasoning and give it a mix. Add 1/2 cup of heavy cream and mix it well. You can add little water. 5. Add softened cream cheese and mix everything together. You can adjust the seasoning at this point. 6. Add shredded chicken to it and mix it until everything combined together. Turn off the heat and set aside to cool. 7. Make sure to thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions to make it easier to work with. 8. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface (you might need to stretch them out a little )Cut each square into 2 equal sizes. 9. Place a spoonful of the chicken filling in the center. Place another sheet on top and pressing the edges together to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges. 10. Transfer the pastries to the prepared baking sheet. Similar way you can make rest of the sheets. Make few slits on top with knife. 11. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or nigella seeds, if desired. 12. Bake in the preheated oven 400 F for 20-22 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed up. 13. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on a wire rack before serving. Tips: Make sure to thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions to make it easier to work with. These pastries can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven before serving.
