Duronto Express is a category of long-distance non stop trains run by the Indian Railways. These trains do not have any ticketing stops between the origin and the destination ."Duronto" means "restless" in Bengali language. These trains' coaches have characteristic yellow-green livery. Duronto Express services connect the several metros and major state capitals of India. These trains are faster than or as fast as Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains.The first Duronto ran between Sealdah and New Delhi. 12262/Howrah-Mumbai CST AC Duronto Express is one among the 26 fleets of Duronto Express. It runs between Howrah, West bengal & Mumbai, Maharashtra with an average speed of 75 kmph with 5 technical halts namely Tatanagar, Bilaspur, Nagpur, Bhusawal, Igatpuri. However recent news is that Technical halts are considered to be Commercial halts w.e.f 01/10/2015 The first video is of Kalyan WCAM-3 #21889 hauling 12262/Howrah-Mumbai CST AC Duronto Express captured on 21/03/2015 before CST-Thane aCifiction. Secondly with Mid-mounted Headlamp - Howrah WAP-4 #22377 hauling 12262/Howrah-Mumbai CST AC Duronto Express captured on 21/03/2015 after CST-Thane aCifiction. Earlier Howrah WAP-4 used to be detched at Igatpuri & Kalyan WCAM-3 was coupled to continue its journey till CSTM.
