NASA Astronaut Chris Williams Soyuz MS-28 Hatch Opening

Chris Williams of NASA, along with cosmonauts Sergey Kud‑Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev of Roscosmos, successfully launched aboard Soyuz MS-28 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome and docked with the International Space Station (ISS). After docking at the ISS’s Rassvet module, the hatch between Soyuz MS-28 and the station opened at approximately 10:16 a.m. EST — marking the official arrival of the new crew and expansion of the ISS crew to 10 members. This mission — Chris Williams’s first spaceflight — begins an ~8-month stay aboard the ISS as part of Expeditions 73/74.
