Be sure to check out previous content on my page about Nutrition • Flexible Dieting or Clean Eating: WHICH IS... and Fitness • Best Training Style for Body Composition |... The Case for Fitness: 1) if you’re new to training, you will experience greater strength gains, some fat loss and muscle building – neuromuscular adaptations are greater in new lifters. 2) resistance training has many health benefits, regardless of age, gender or training ability. 3) intermediate or advanced trainers will see less strength gains, weight loss – they need nutrition to carry them the rest of the way. 4) training affect: you need total volume as well as rest breaks and sufficient resistance loads to stimulate muscle growth. Not doing 3x10 with 20 minute rest in between vs 1-3 minutes… The Nutritional Black Hole: 1) most people are clueless about how much protein and fiber they are taking in. They eat massive quantities of food, highly processed, eating whenever and whatever. The Fitness Black Hole: 1) the problem with training is that you compensate by overeating calories that you burned during the workout or overestimate your caloric burn during workout. 2) you can lift, but if you eat extra calories – you put on muscles, yes – but body fat, too. The Case for Nutrition: 1) increase protein, fiber, minimize sugar intake (due to their caloric density), drinking water, monitor stress. 2) you can lose weight here, but you will also lose muscle…the perfect compromise is to lift with resistance training to preserve muscle and reduce muscle loss, while in a caloric deficit to melt off fat while maintaining muscle…yay 3) much easier to eat 200 calories less than it is to workout and burn off 200 calories – could take 30-60 minutes of fitness – not everyone can make this commitment. To not eat 200 calories extra and takes no time-effort at all. Just a conscious choice. 4) now, the agreement here is that it is also easier to overeat those calories. So, if there is no consciousness towards fitness, than you can inadvertently put on weight The Answer: is both! Used in conjunction, you will achieve results faster. ------------------------------------------------------------ Mindset TIP & Bodyset TIP: If you are wanting to look good and feel good, you need a nutritional plan AND fitness plan that you can ADHERE to for a LONG TIME rather than a month or two of hard-dieting or training. Yes, it can be done, but chances are, you will not have allowed enough time to elapse to learn some new habits. Experiment with foods you like - be flexible with it. For fitness, choose something that you enjoy and don't have to overthink. Sometimes the easiest things are the best, particularly if you are travelling and don't always have access to a gym or same food sources. ---------------------------------------------- MY MISSION STATEMENT: Each video – I will be reviewing one “Bodyset” and one Mindset tip on one facet of your life to make it just a little bit better. ***THE PRESENTED CONTENT IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE OR A TREATMENT PLAN AND IS INTENDED FOR GENERAL EDUCATION AND DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY.
