Sport Central Champions Club Summer Social

Thank you to our Champions Club members for coming out and being social at our summer social! With monsoon-like rain and some bumper-to-bumper traffic just prior to our event, we’re grateful that nearly all our guests still made it AND, we filled our bin full of donated sports equipment! We’d like to once again say a big “THANK YOU” to @thecanadianbrewhouse Lewis Estates for hosting us and to Molson for sponsoring your ticketed drink for the evening. We’d also love to thank Edmonton Elks Alumni, Justin Sorensen Matthew O’Donnell, for coming and giving us the inside scoop on why 2 retired O-Linemen with 2015 Grey Cup rings wanted to be involved with Sport Central. In case you missed the numbers… We’re 9 months into our fiscal year, here’s what our volunteers and staff have accomplished: 2,178 pieces of equipment repaired 2,163 bicycles repaired 2,744 pairs of skates sharpened 2,244 helmets repaired 10,149 kids equipped for Sport (so far!)
